If there's play in the track bar replace it. If its the stock bar you have to do the whole thing, otherwise its just an end. For a popping noise when turning check your hubs and u-joints

I was with him its definitely his track bar. It has a lot of play in it. So he will have to replace the track bar then because his is the stock bar. I'm afraid his mount may have an elongated hole which he'd have to correct with a new mount or junkyard mount I'm guessing

Ok the ball end is shot for sure and like I was saying by how much it was poping and moving I think the end elongated the hole in the mount. I'm speaking for him because I was at the junkyard with him this morning and he is not up to speed on all the terminology
Edit: and ball joint is what I mean I don't know why I'm calling it a tie rod end.

Had problem like that replaced everything and still heard the clunk check to make sure the bolts that hold the track bar mount (tie rod end) ain't rusted out. it will make a noise if so. Found that out with mine when I put a double shear track bar

IRO's adjustable track bar uses your factory mount and a tie rod type end. The length is still adjustable. The double shear is also adjustable but uses a different frame mount to achieve the "double shear" or through bolt design.
