Quote: floor seems like a good chunk of work. Maybe start there and take a break every once and a while to do some easier jobs on the XJ. They act as a confidence booster and keep your mind entertained with a little variety.

Not sure who drew the "Mid Atlantic" and North Atlantic" line,,, But Maryland belongs in "Mid Atlantic", I feel strange grouped with ya Yankees

Anyhow, copy and paste from my general intro:

New to the forums.
Built/rebuilt/wrecked AMC's (Jav, AMX, CJ) in the early 80's.
Sold my last AMX about 10 years ago when we moved to Southern MD.
Did Horses and Rodeo with my Daughter all through her high School years, so it was 1 ton duelly's. She's off on her own now,, just completing my heated slab shop/garage, And My 15 year old wants to get into Jeep's.
We are currently looking for a stock XJ with blown motor/trans/etc to rebuild (build up).
Of course I have a ton of questions
Besides that, my son and I Hunt, kayak fish, try to stay out of trouble with the wife
