jake from ferndale, md. not quite a noob, just a noob to this forum. heres the rig. it is definitely not done. waiting on taxes lol.

1987 Jeep Wagoneer Limited, 4.0L, AW4, NP231, (front) LP D30, (rear) D44

Has a 3 inch lift from a previous owner, also the detours backbone on the front. Lacking a winch, but luckily, with the stockish-ness of my rig, i havent gotten it that stuck...

Joe from Pittsburgh. Just got a 2001 xj not sure ab lift, anyone know how to tell? Thinking about a 3"- 4". It's got 31x10.5 on it. So far, mainly been doing routine maintenance and changing all fluids when not working. Put Hella 500's on.

You can measure from the center of the hub to the bottom of the flare (if stock flares). Stock meas. are 17.5" front and 17.0" rear. so any higher is your lift.

Good to know! thanks for the input! The only other problem I have that I don't know about is, why my drivers side would sit 1/4" to 1/2" lower than passenger. I would have thought bad coil or leaf, but its both front and back. Maybe the lift was installed wrong, gotta figure that out

That happen sometimes for rigs that normally only carry on person to lean to the driver side. Check your coil spring isolators to make sure they're in good condition.
