If you could make the trip to Rochester I'd give you a hand. Just moved into my house with a 2 car garage. Only downside is no electric right now

 

I am planning to go, and decided to spread the word around. Its for anybody that wants to go in any vehicle.

Toys-4-Tots run is on Sunday, November 17th.
We start at the Bandshell Parking lot in Forest Park.
We usually leave the Park at around noon.
There is no charge for the event.
We only ask that you bring one new unwrapped toy for a girl or boy.
No Stuffed animals.
The Hospital doesn't allow them.

When we get to the Hospital, we bring our donations into their stage area.
They bring out some of the more ambulatory children to join us and select a toy.

We'll probably BBQ at my Knights of Columbus after the run.

Just moved from Oregon to Long Island (Long Beach) so I thought I'd post here! 97 xj, almost bone stock, looking to start building it up as a winter project. Hopefully I'll see some of you on the road!

I'm in the coast guard, so it wasn't my choice haha. I'm on the east end, right on Broadway. I'm probably the only xj on the island with Oregon plates so if you see me, say hey!

 

We should have a LI XJ meetup! It would be great to make some friends in the area who are jeep guys like me!

 

I'd be down for a LI XJ meet up. I'm out east close to Port Jeff.

 

pretty sure i've seen you around. theres usually a meet every week during the summer hosted by the LI RIGS/LI TRUCKS people... most of em are high school/college age.

 

Thats funny we can be rocking the PNW pride. I am from Washington State and I kept my WA plates, wonder if we run into each other since I am all over Long Island all the time. Got hella excited the other day when I saw another car with WA plates.

I work in either Ronkonkoma or Farmingdale (depending on the day) so I'm mostly out there. On the weekends I'm usually either in the city or working on the Jeep so it sits in my driveway...for now lol.

 

Anybody in the Rochester area willing to share knowledge/school me on repairs? I just bought my first XJ in October and already I know there are some things I will need to fix.
Unfortunately I have limited tools and only an outdoor driveway to work in.
I'm always happy to try to make new friends though.
