Which lake? Onieda or Ontario? lol. We were from Syracuse and drove all the way up there because one of my friends was National Guard. It's Fort Drum now so it's basically off limits. My friend got his Chevy buried in thick soup to the top of the hood! The best part was watching him dive under to connect the tow cable! Better him than me! One of the guys taunted him, swinging his tow hook around and saying, "You hook it up, I'll pull you out!"
