lemme know what you would do. thanks guys

I wouldn't worry about any of that. I play around all day in the summer with no problems on the stock set up. All you have to be worried about is water in the pines. Just don't be the first one through the puddle and all will be well.

Just make sure you have recovery points front and rear, Hitch and hooks or bumpers and you will be in good shape.

Agreed with the tow points issue. Everyone should have some kind of recovery points before we head out.

Yeah I'm friends lolwtfomgbbq I'm thinking about taking a ride with him to see some trails around here. I would drive around with my jeep but it's currently sitting dormant in my driveway no title and needs a lot of fixing up. Title is gonna be a pain to get since it was registered in New York. So for now gonna be riding with lolwtfomgbbq.

I would def say there is something else wrong. 4wd would not make the engine work any harder. I would look into your fan clutch to see if that is broke or not working properly.

I think we should keep the tech discussion out of this thread. Either PM him or post a thread in tech. This is the Meet-n-Greet thread.

And while I'm at it, guys please note: It's a Meet-n-Greet, not a wheeling trip. Wheeling is an optional bonus. If your Jeep is stock or you have no recovery points, you can still show up for the Meet-n-Greet. We're looking to hang out, see the people behind the screen names, drool over peoples' XJs, share ideas and maybe grab a bite to eat together. If some people want to wheel, then fine. But don't decide against coming because you have no tow points or whatever. You don't even have to drive the XJ on that day, and you certainly don't have to go wheeling.

Just thought I needed to clear that up ...

OK, all clear as mud as my high school principal used to say.

If it's meet-&-greet, then Carranza is no good for me.
No regular bathroom, no food, no coffee.

So let's scout out the usual meeting places for the nearest diner or such place.
For example, near Atsion there is a diner 1.5 miles south on 206 with big parking lot, Mighty Joes gas and food 5 miles north.

Near carranza is a Tabernacle gas and food, or Chatsworth diner, park next to fire house.

Get the idea?

Further north, Brendan Byrne has a large restaurant and parking lot nearby, south of the circle off the road to Chatsworth, name escapes me right now.

Cranberries is the name of a place on the south side of 70.

Then there's the Silver Coin (?) Diner at the intersection of Rte 206 & Rte 30. There's also a Burger King, Applebees or something similar, Walmart, & Advance Auto, Mickey Dees & so on, right there. Only thing is there's no real meeting place nearby that I know of. Of course, there's always the Pickalilli, 8 miles out & close to Atsion Ranger station, entrance to wheeling & so on. But there's no other place to eat & if you're under 21, you might feel left out. But once we have a date & if it's the place I could chat with the folks at the Pick & see how they can accommodate us. A head count would be good.
