whats up guys, im a local jeeper from germantown, i got my first jeep a little over a year ago, before that i was doing a lot of research on jeepforum learning about my XJ. i Drive a 2000 Cherokee Sport, its stock now but im waiting on tax returns for my lift, and i got 31s wrapped around moabs sittin in the garage waiting to fit my wheel wells. Duckie sent me over here from jeepforum!! thanks duckie!

That's sounds like a "lower end" knock....
If it was a lifter/valve it would be more of a loud tapping noise....
agreed, and would be tapping twice a revolution instead on only once

anybody know where I can pickup a VW aircooled motor and trans for reasonable? I am looking to upgrade the powerplant on my offroad buggy.

well not everyone has land to wheel on AND a lift... with a building on top...

i saw a couple VW common gears at the crazy rays in mt airy... only reason i know they are air cooled is because of cars 2... im lame i know...

Yeah I am looking for stock at the moment, the buggy is only going to weigh 1300 lbs with me in it and a full load of gear/fuel, down the road when I can beef the suspension up I may make a full rail out of it and hotrod the motor out... Have to come up with a rear steer cause the front wheels wont be on the ground
