Almost guaranteed out of my price range. If I get an MJ, I'd like to build it myself. XJs are everywhere, but an MJ would be more personal.

Didn't see this the first time: Ford 8.8 rear
But it's running 35s on 4.10s. Add a regear and replacing those hideous BW flares (not my style), and it's out of my range again.

 

Axle swap and regear, fix fuel gauge lol
Would the standard cluster swap also work in an MJ?

 

You will need the tranny, t-case, levers, front axle..both driveshafts.

When I did mine on my MJ I pieced it all together for $300. I got the tranny and tcase togather for $100 though and got lucky.

You are PROBABLY looking around $500. Talk the guy down to $1900 and you would have $24-2500 into it to start.

4:10's on a manual are fine. That is what my last XJ had and it did great on road and off.

 

Well He probably didn't re gear the axles, Dana 30 came with 4:10's in a yj and ford 8.8 came stock with 4:10's
