Had an awesome last 2 weeks. Spent 3 days at Assateague running the beach in the Jeep. Jeep pulled the camper with no issues and even had the pleasure off having to tow out 2 vehicles off the beach. National Park Service Rangers were very cool and appreciative. The people tried to pay me and I told them that's why we build Jeeps and its what we do. My 10yr old daughter drove all 3 days on the beach. She drives better offroad than some friends of mine and you know who you are, lol. Ran Potts Mnt Jeep trail and Flag Pole the following weekend. It was a pleasure to run with some people who had serious money in their Rubicons and at the end of the day at the restaurant be told they wished they knew you could build an XJ to perform the way she did. She did every obstacle along with 2 they couldn't and not for lack of them trying. XJ pride was thick in the air that night.
Today I got my confirmation email from booking.com that my room is reserved for EJS in Moab Utah. Damn April is to far away.

I've decided to run a 4.5" & 31s and then next year run 6.5" on 35's. Trying to piece everything while building a turbo car for next season and a motorcycle is damn expensive.

So if anyone local has a good set of 31s I'm interested wheels and tires.

Do it right now and you'll save money that way. Get 4.5" full leafs and sye and coils. So when you wanna go taller you can add onto it.

I still say try and hit 6.5" now

I have the RC 6.5" kit I just need rear shackles, sye + driveshaft and wheels + tires. The biggest additional cost right now is the sye + driveshaft.

I was thinking of doing 4.5" and when I go 6.5" switch to long arm and get some nice flares and do 35s. This truck was supposed to be aybeater but already turning into a project lol

i wouldn't bother going to 4.5 then. if you want 6.5 go to 6.5 especially since you already have the lift. it's best to do it right the first time.

I agree. Lifting twice is a waste. besides at 4.5 you may need an SYE anyways.

Im pissed how much I wasted lifting several times. extended shackles and spacers are only good if you have longer aftermarket leafs. other than that, **** them. Im happy I took mines off. and Serious has SYE for 145 or adams driveline has for 400 the driveshaft with new joints and SYE. done deal.

I'm rushing because I'm trying to have the lift installed by the time we start getting snow but I understand about waiting and just do it right the first time. I also just bought new coilover and I'm searching for a turbo set up for my mr2 so funds are a bit tight.
