Yea, that's a good price. Look around at www.cheaperthandirt.com also

The Bushmaster you linked is the same as my friends in the picture I posted earlier in this thread. It's a great rifle, just remember you have to keep these direct impingement AR's clean. The bolt carrier groups get filthy quick which will affect how it cycles rounds

And a compression test most certainly will work.

$100-200 in diagnosis to pinpoint the issue is a lot better than spending 2-3 grand to replace the engine blindly.

^^for real dukie, we should all pitch in and form our own specialty shop ha.

Finally after calling four shops, I speak with a guy that says he is willing to do diagnosis because it's best to know before shelling out unnecessary money for an engine. I go to him on Monday and I should know something by afternoon. If it were not for you guys,I would have gone with the first, second, and third rip off men. One good thing is when I call now I actually sound like I know what I'm talking about ...lol.

Where is the shop at? I may be doing this. I need to save some $$$. Uncle Sam raped me this year. First year I owe taxes. I need to put a new thermostat in as well.
