Junkyard sold me a TC out of "a jeep". Not the Jeep i told them it had to come out of. So now i have a goddam 231. Not what i wanted. Now i need to get the lever piece some how for a 231.

Is there anything else that goes into a 242 to 231 swap?

Shifter assembly and the linkage, possibly the rear drive shaft. I'm not sure on that though.

Not the drive shaft, not the linkage(can be adjusted), i know the shifter assembly. Jake told me this the other day.

Waiting on a call back from the JY i bought it from. They ripped off the badge so i couldnt tell too. Its 40 minutes away from me as well. This is some bull****.

Today sucks *****. Swapped in my completely unwanted 231 transfer case. Poured ATF all over my driveway by accident which i now have to clean up. And lost a nut for the cross member. Currently do not have a linkage, but im going to order a new "simple 231 linkage". Still havent moved the Jeep.

Sorry bout the Tc. The 231 will serve you proud. At least until you get another 242 and sell this one
