On my way home tonight my "check gauges" light came on and my headlights were flickering. After about 15 minutes the check gauges light went off but my headlights kept flickering, also when I got home and rolled my windows up all of the lights inside my jeep got really dim and there was a screeching type noise. Does anyone know what might be going on?

None of my gauges were at 0. I replaced my spark plugs and cleaned off my battery terminals the other day, could that have anything to do with it. Also I replaced my alternator maybe a year and a half ago could it already be bad?
