Well congrats there

What is everyone's thoughts on cooling the trans here in MD? Use the radiator first and then the cooler, or just use the cooler and avoid the radiator since the radiator is keeping the fluid at 195 and I'm trying to keep the trans fluid less than 175. The instructions that came with our B&M cooler recommended using it in-line with the factory cooler so that's most likely what I will do unless I find a reason not to.

I'd run though the cooler first, then the radiator. In the winter you'll want that extra pre-heat from the engine coolant for the transmission fluid

Also, cooling the trans fluid more will help keep the engine coolant temp down since they're intertwined through the radiator.

If I do cooler first then go back into the radiator won't that heat the trans fluid back up? The install instructions say to go after the radiator so that it'll help heat the fluid up in the winter but cool it better in the summer. We live in a climate that has both hot and cold so I was leaning to what they were saying instead of bypassing the radiator all together like you would if you lived in TX or AZ.

I found a link where a guy installed his vertically and it's not bad but 3" of the cooler is hidden. I did like that he mounted it in front of the mechanical fan though.

I think I'd rather mount it like this but I am wondering what he used for spacers

I bypassed the radiator, honestly i think you should only bypass the rad if it's a big cooler, my trans has gotten warmer then my liking so I'll probably hook it in line with the factory cooler.
