how often should the a/c compressor clutch be engaged if everything is working properly? mine blows coolish air, and when the clutch engages, it only does it for a second or two. recharge kit gauge says it has good pressure

An a/c compressor clutch should engage as much as an a/c compressor clutch should engage if an a/c compressor clutch should engage.

it's short cycling, usually indicative of a low charge, it should cycle on, and stay on until temp is achieved, then unlock. or possibly a bad cycling switch?
