i think if they'd offered the diesel i-4 to the US, more folks might have bit on it too.

369 ft/lbs torque according to wikipedia.

just assuming they didn't offer it here since autotrader found 0 w/in any distance.

One interesting tidbit....

Jeep Active Drive will have low-range and a rear locking differential. None of these modes will employ a transfer case – instead, there will be a planetary gearset at the differentials. Final Crawl ratio of 56:1.

Could end up actually capable....

Heres my thoughts: wheeling those jeeps is going to be left to the rich. Which one of us is going to buy one and wheel it in mud, rocks, and water? One day later on when they are cheaper like our cherokees they MAY be wheeled IF they are reviewed as good offroad by someone who wheeled it brand new. I just dont see the point currently of buying one and wheeling it. If im gonna spend money on a new car, its going to be nice an clean.

It will. But im just saying my ideas. I would buy a used one and wheel it if it came back as good. But think about what 30k could do to a cherokee. Or even a TJ...it would run circles around JKs and the new "cherokees"

Seafoamed the new jeep...nothing. Some wet **** came out of the tailpipe and splattered on my driveway. Did 1/3 oil and 1/3 intake.
