If I decided to flatbed it, hypothetically, would anyone be interested in buying the bed to make a trailer or something? I'd ask a couple hundred since it's already Line-Xed. Still just an idea, but I would have a new range of options opened up if someone were interested.
you want the stakes on the inside side of the rails, or inside (pocketed) into them? Should be easy enough.

As for the bed you talking wooden boards? If so you could make it just a drop in platform insert with the metal bed below it.

Or you thinking of removing the entire bed?

One thing I'm considering is unbolting the bed and replacing it with a custom flatbed with drop-in rails. There are several people here who could make that. I'm just asking if there would be any interest from you kind folks in buying the Line-Xed bed for a project. I can't justify the cost of any bed-removal project if I can't recoup any of the money spent on that.

I have absolutely no use for it. I already have a car and a truck at my apt. When I bring the bike out here in June, I'm gonna store it in my U-Haul container. Even if I wanted a trailer, I have nowhere to put it.
