  •
    • When
      Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 8:00am until Friday, February 10, 2012 at 8:00pm
  • Where
    Glen Burnie, Maryland
  • Description
This will be the event to end all events! Free pizza and beer ( or soda for the non-drinkers ) to all who attend and help out. We will be starting the final rebuild of the beloved 1989 Jeep Cherokee, Anya, whose Facebook profile can be found by searching for Anya TheJeep, and can also be found in the invited guests/attending guests section of this event.

    Items on the itinerary include:

Dropping the Oil Pan, cleaning it out, and reattaching it
Replacing Oil Pump and Pump Screen
Soaking and cleaning the Engine Block Head of all the sludge
Vaccuming all the sludge from inside the oil passageways on the Engine Block
Sorting out all the random nuts and bolts, and placing them with their proper parts
Beautifying Anya by painting certain parts, yet to be decided.
    Flushing the coolant system
Replacing most of the Gaskets during the final rebuild
Replacing the ENTIRE Valve Rocker Arm/Pushrod line up.
Cleaning various parts of the Jeep, yet to be decided.
Scrubbing and Cleaning the interior ( carpets )
Cutting down and Refitting my False Floor, allowing my back seat to sit properly.
FINAL REBUILD, all parts reattached, tightened to spec.

    List to be continued...

The location of said events will be one of two places. A) The parking lot of my current home, in Rosedale. Or B) Self Service Auto, in Glen Burnie. Option B is more likely the definite location.

If you have any questions, please feel free to message me ( Joshua Blight ) and ask.

    Items NEEDED for this event:
Various tools, brought by the attendees ( I kinda had mine stolen )
Video Camera/Digital Camera, to document this positively EPIC EVENT.

Yep, yours will be just fine. You lifting? You getting a SYE (slip yoke eliminator) you're putting 33's on? Trimming will need to be done as well.

Yep. Same size, same tire. I wanted Firestone Destination M/Ts, but I was having a hard time finding them at a good deal. Duratracs were my second choice, but I'm really excited after seeing some the other day.

I'll talk to my guy back home and see if he can hook me up with some. How many do you want and what price are you looking for?

Yep, you'll probably need a longer drive shaft. I have a Tom Woods rear drive shaft with SYE. There are other companies that can do this as well. Basically I told them what size lift I had and transfer case and he made my drive shaft.
