kinda wishing i hadn't just put new stock sized tires on (less than 5K on them i think). all this talk of tax returns kinda makes me want to lift a few inches and stuff some bigger tires under there. oh well, guess i'll revisit the thought in about 50K miles.

Go mild with 3". Even that is noticeable, makes a difference, and you can still run your stock tires out with it. I did with my white one.

will keep it in mind. was going to (attempt to) put fresh leafs in the rear this spring. maybe do a 1.5" boomerang shackle in addition to fresh leafs. still reading up on all of it. what i've read so far makes it sound like maybe i should start pb blasting now, haha.

got
monroe's coil over shocks monroe's coil over shocks
keeping my rear off the ground now but it rides pretty bad. then again, it's a 96 jeep so it doesn't bother me too much.

It is never too early to start PB Blasting. And even then, some bolts still may break. Lubed my rear shock bolts from February to November last year. Lubed them good, they still broke off.

guess i better get a can and get goin on that. had a mechanic put the coil over shocks on cuz i was scared about those bolts busting. had him put on the BPE's from rocky road too so i'd never have to worry about them again. from what i've read tho...bolts seizing in the leaf spring/shackle bushings is a big headache.

They can be if they are seized in the sleeve, or if the weld on the nut inside the uni-frame breaks. If it comes to that, I have it down to a science now, I'll come lend you a hand cutting them out. Doesn't hurt to have an extra set of leaf spring bolts and nuts on hand just in case.

just started planning a wedding, so funds and time aren't as freed up as they used to be, but she's not a bridezilla or anything so other interests won't be totally on the back burner...just like halfway on the back burner.

How was your experience with Rocky Road? How long did it take you to get them?
