Another XJ is a BIG load for an XJ to pull/control. Uhaul won't even rent you a dolly to tow an XJ behind an XJ - just an FYI.

I would advise to not use your XJ as the tow rig. Find a big vehicle with a v8 and good brakes.
Class 3 tranny cooler and good brakes, but I think ill take your word for it

Not sure if they'll buy it or not, maybe my dad will let me use the new Cherokee.

because I don't like the short wheelbase of the regular TJs. I like the longer wheelbase of the TJ Unlimited (AKA LJ) and the extra room in the back is nice as well.

Ok...2 things...both far fetched, I know.

1) Does anyone have a dependable car I could "RENT" for the weekend to go to Ohio and back?

2) Does anyone want to lend me a hand tomorrow? Learn a thing or two? I will be dropping the t-case and tranny to lower the rear of the engine to access the expansion plug on the back of the head.

Thanks in advance for even considering either/or.

It will be happening even if by myself....so don't feel obligated, but an extra set of hands is always appreciated.

that's what I figured. but you're deciding between an lj and a 2 door jk, why not the unlimited?
