sounds like you mixed up the tubes or put the thermostat in wrong

Thermostat should have the "pill" inside the engine, and the breather hole at the top

heater valve:

Well guys I finally took your suggestions and cut my front fenders up. Took a lot of courage and second guessing a lot but I finally did it, but I also satisfied my own need to have front flares. I think it worked out pretty good, pics to follow.

It was a lot easier than I was planning. Just took flares off and moved them up so the top edge of the flare was right at the body line. Then I marked a hole in front and back and drilled 1/8 inch hole for rivet. Riveted the front and back of the flare bracket to the body and drew chalk lines around bottom edge of bracket so I knew where to cut. Drilled the rivets out and cut the fender up, drilled the rest of the mount holes for the bracket and the inner fender stiffener arm. One thing I had already done years ago was rivet the actual flare to the bracket to ensure they never fall off. The whole pinch bracket is a garbage idea in my opinion, and I think a lot others as well. With the two being one piece it enalbled me to easily mount them wherever I wanted. Just something to think about before you start cutting and realize **** won't work. Let me know when you decide to do it and if you have any problems.

probably some time next month when I get all the new goodies. I'm not relocating flares though since I have none. I do love the look of them when they match the paint like yours, it looks real nice and clean. I'm just cutting them, I was wondering how did you measure where you cut so each side matched up?

Oh I gotcha. Well just measure from the body line of the fender. Get a rough guess of where you think you want to cut it up to and make a mark. Measure that mark to the body line and place it the same on the other side. Be careful on driver side cause the windshield washer container is in the fender so you can't go too high. I would start on that side and go along the bottom of the container and then measure and cut the passenger side to match.
