What's the right color? I raised a daughter alone and never received food stamps. I did get WIC which was a big help. I don't even qualify for Food Stamps or Medical Assistance now and my only income is a disability check. So, if you were told you were not the right color,I just need to know what color you need to be? Maybe I'll switch.....LOL. HECk,maybe we all can switch

It was a black woman that told me I was the wrong color to receive assistance in this area

It has been 18 years since all of that, no charges of any kind since, and to this day still have issue with in different aspects of life, employment and such. None of my crimes were violent in any way, or crimes against a person, but are treated as such.
I have seen applications ask, "Have you been convicted of a crime in the past five years?", and have answered truthfully, "No". Then thru the interview process they bring up my charges that are well over five years old and ask why I didn't list them. I point out what the application states, and they point out that the position has been filled and are no longer hiring.
*typing quick, I spelled "hiring" with highering, sheesh

she should have lost her job !!!!. why didn't you report her,she was totally out of line with that comment? I wish I had known you back then. I would have raised so much hell that you would get benefits for life.that's why when someone goes postal in one of the government places,I am saddened by the loss of innocent life;but on the other hand there is only so much a person can take before mental breakdown

So I have a vacation coming up. I'll be off July 4-15th. I wanted to do a bunch of stuff if I can get some help. I want to do an SYE, rear hitch, front tow hooks, front hockey puck bump stops, and possibly front coils and rear shackles. Was really hoping to do it July 7-8 if enough people can help. Cordelia and Oliver, would your place be available anytime during those dates? Any takers???
