JERSEY PEOPLE!!! Someone please educate me!
i just got stationed here in Cape May, and for me to get my jeep tagged and all in Maryland itll run me almost 600 bucks but i only have to go through inspection once.
can someone please educate me on the process of getting tag and title and inspection and emissions here in NJ?
how much does it normally cost?
what do the inspect stations check?
how often do you have to get inspected?
what do tags run?
how often?
or even a link of where i can find the info please

Tags (registration) is yearly and about $50-60.
Inspection (free) is every 2 years on used cars & only emissions are checked.
Transferring a title from one state to another... I'm not quite sure about.
FYI: insurance is required in NJ and is one of the most expensive states in the US.
Check the NJDMV website for more info

yea if you have a choice, you won't want a to have your vehicle registered in Jersey - WAY expensive to insure it.
Maryland isn't that bad - may have to fix a couple things and re-check after the initial inspection, but then that's it forever. In my experience is was not even close to $600 to transfer mine here, so i don't know where you got that number.

im in the military so i can have a vehicle tagged in one state. liscense in another state. and insurance in another state lol. all my vehicles have been tagged in MD and never once had a cop or insurance say anything. they also told me as long as i resided in one residence then i can carry insurance there.
Dukie just for title they want 185, my dads truck was 290 to get his tags. plus inspections another 80 bucks
