Also. Who's the red lifted XJ I saw going up 91north in Wallingford today? Towing a trailer with a red quad on it. And I saw another lifted red XJ in the center if Hartford, roof rack with full size spare up top.

 

I live right down the road actually lol. I don't go to school there though....

Hey everyone this is kyle from canaan ct new to the forum and kind of new to jeeps...want to get an xj for kinda cheap in the near future if anyone knows of anything. I have a 96 s10 v6 4x4 thats starting to rot out but it only has 89k on it and its just not cost effective enough or easy enough to source parts to make a decent dd/off roader..but an XJ id love to turn some wrenches on so let me know if anything is in the area...

 

Anyone in CT have any real cheap tires? 15 inch, any size really. Just bought a 2001 xj, and the tires are too bald to get home, I can't afford a new set, so if anyone had a used set for real cheap, please let me know

 

I have some stock tires laying around that aren't in too bad of shape but I only have three, two are mounted and one is loose

Thanks anyways, about ten minutes after I posted on here I found a used set of 31s for $50 lol so I'm all set

 

Is your xj stock? I think 31s will be a little too big if it is

 

It is. But the wheels are aftermarket so they'll push out more, and I'll cut and fold the fenders. I've cleared 31s stock before

 

Alright, that'll come in handy later if you lift it anyway. If you want stock size tires I have those too on jeep wheels. They just kinda sit around so I'd get rid of them for cheap, always good to have a spare!

Just drove through Putnam and passed 4-5 lifted xj's in about 3 minutes
