EVB in Danbury? I'm sure they do gears there.

Chris here, checking in. Moved to Waterbury from central NY this past June. Running a 98 xj with a 3" lift on wrangler five spokes with 30" bfg all terrains. Identifying traits: Thule decal in the rear window. Where you can find me: hauling down route 8 between 84 and exit 22.

Danbury would be a haul from eastern ct/niantic. I know theres a place in middletown that does gears, just trying to remember the name. also i vaguely remember seeing a 4x4 shop somewhere in stonington on my way to a jobsite for work.

If i remember the name of the place in middletown ill let you know

Yea Danbury is too far to leave my dd for a couple days, definitely would like to find somewhere closer. Thanks for the tip, I'll look in middletown. I heard there was a shop that did all the work for a 4x4 club in the area, but can't remember the shop or the club.

Did a little research...CT Axle in Ellington, and the club was jt4x4. But they want about 400 bucks to do the gears, plus more for the Detroit install. Seems a little steep. Any other options would be greatly appreciated.

If your looking this far north "valley truck & off road" in ellington does everything to do with 4wheeling and does amazing work.If you happen to have seen the "Team toilet" ford at the area mud bogs, thats their handiwork. also "four wheel drive performance" in manchester is a pretty good shop, I know a couple guys whove brought theyre rigs there and havent had a problem.

Also you might try All truck & 4x4 in east hampton. drove past there this weekend going to look at yet another XJ
