I got a coat or 2 of spray paint on my sliders n some roll on bed liner Jus need someone with a welder n some skills to weld em on my junk. Trying to mount my front bumper but the steering box bolts are giving me some BS even with pb blaster. If I break bolts is a Durango box worth it?

You gonna need a spacer for it though.

But i think hes referring to the durango steering box. and IIRC, the only difference between the plow/nonplow versions is one has a 4th bolt, you can just not use it and put the 3 in, or drill the unibody and add the 4th.

The one with the 4th bolt would eliminate the need for a steering box brace right? sounds like not a bad idea. use the stock spacer then just buy a home depot single stainless steel spacer for the fourth bolt.

Probably won't be doing any mods or wheeling in mine, but I'm new here and haven't got the bug yet.

Yea I meant the steering box. I got a front bumper to put on with the brace so I don't think ill need 4 bolts. And a plow on something as small as an xj IMO looks stupid, maybe cause ya don't see it as often. Wronglers look just silly lol
Hey dudes, so after registering my Jeep on Tuesday (which took 4 hours
) I decided to go on my first off road try in the truck. I ended up near high rock gun range in the naugatuck state forest.
Nothing crazy, but damn I had a really fun time. Nothing broke and I drove home safely. Awesome experience and I hope to do some more trails soon
