ouch, no one has gone to that extent where i wheel, just hte occasional big boulders in the pits and cinder blocks, but how much damage would that really do? It small, id expect it to tip over, but regardless, not cool!

i take an old gps with me when I go out, so if I ever come across something like this I will record the coordinates and post them here so people know where they are. The coordinates that the guy who found them gave are not pin point. I am not sure if it was that trail going back to 1/4 mile or High crossing road.

i thought his coordinates put you where the green arrow is. that is what I got when I put them into google earth. and he says high crossing road. so I am not sure where he found them.

not sure why the green arrow is there , but its deff where the A is , there is no side trails off that trail untill you get to the end of it wich is 1/4 mile , it brings you right out to the rail road tracks

the messed up part is , they have way to much time on there hands and you'd actually have to go four wheeling to get out there to put the spikes down , what the hell is wrong with people

yeah, who ever did that is a hypocrite. They had to drive their gas powered vehicle out there and put bits of metal (basically trash) out in a trail to prevent other people from driving out there. ......................

My thought is that if the state had an issue with people being out there in 4x4 trucks tearing thing up then they would patrol those areas on the weekends and issue tickets or some kind of fine.

yea actually thank god for state budget cuts the rangers havent been out there as much as they used to be , it would pretty messed up getting busted for wheeling because there out patroling the area because someone is leaving dangerous spikes on the trails

If you're going to quote the post, you should probably quote the entire entry and not just the part that supports your rant.

Agreed. I am in the camp of wishing a lot of the 4x4 thrill-seekers would go somewhere else, but this is stupid and counter-productive. Aside from the destructiveness and possible danger to life and limb, those things aren't going to keep any 4x4 owner out of the woods. It will just cause them to drive around the existing puddles and do even more damage.
