Welcome to the wonderful world of having no space to work on your Jeep. I'm across the river in Somerville. Street parking sucks, heh.

I luckily have a driveway and a garage so it's tight but I can make it work. I am searching for a new Cherokee though I see problems ahead with mine

Not too far away in lynn. We used to have north revere, but they don't want you in there anymore.currently trying to get permission to access the trails again.

If anyone is near Ayer, MA my friends and I will be autocrossing the XJ-R July 6th at Fort Devens Air Force base. Hopefully we can give a few rides if we get the passenger seat fixed.

Gunmetal97, I’d say swing by and check it out but it’s stored at my teammate's house in Peabody.

About to turn 21 and bought my first car two weeks ago. I could write you all a novel about drooling over jeeps for years but long story short I got a 99' cherokee now and can't wait start building on it. Paid 2400 bucks for it with 95k miles and took it to a mechanic for some stuff because I don't have the know how or the ability to work on it atm. I'm working in CT for the summer and have no tools and little time (Working that 9-5). I go to school at MIT and will be there in August and am looking for some wheelin' friends!

Things it needs now:

front rotors & pads
front u-joints
ball joints
bushings?
Needs the passenger mirror and fixing the power adjusting pad
driver side speaker doesn't work
fixing up the paint and a couple rust spots

Stuff I want to do:
(Recommend if you can)
4.5" lift - was thinking RE short arm kit??
shocks?? - bilstein?
tires - I want to go 33's - whats a good set?
wheels - Something cheap
bushwacker flats - Super expensive though
tinting the windows
ZJ front seats - maybe back seats too depending on height change

If anyone is around the southwest CT area or in the greater boston area and wouldn't mind throwing a helping hand I would really appreciate it. I'm pretty handy, but new to cars in general and especially jeeps. Done breaks and rotors and changed the oil on cars, but thats about it. Dad is buying me some tools for the 21st... couldn't be a better present. Glad to find this site and hopefully we can all have some fun.

In from Halifax, and the guys around here would be more than happy to wheel with you. Also, my dad does a lot of work for MIT renovating labs.
