Thanks. I'm new to the XJ world, been wanting one for awhile but never seem to have enough room for another jeep. Just got rid of my 79 Cherokee Chief and my 97 TJ, as well as a few others. That left me with only my 84 CJ7 {Mopar 360, np435} sporting the JEEP badge so it was the perfect time to get that XJ. It's a fairly simple ride so far, 3" skyjacker' 31"s, and a 5 speed, but I'm really looking forward to making it my own.

Hey guys-

Wanted to come over here and let the guys North of Boston know about North Shore Jeeps. We've got over 100 online members and a strong core group of 15-20. We do runs in S.NH and Western MA once a month ranging from stock friendly to the OFR/MaBell type runs. BBQs twice a year and a great friendly group of people.

www.NorthShoreJeeps.com if you get a chance!

Best,

Ryan

Not really in MA but lived in the Springfield area for 18months a couple years ago. My Dad and grandparents still live there and it is only two hours away. I'm out in Albany, NY so it would be worth it for a Saturday of wheeling out in western or central MA. I could just stay with my Dad for the weekend to be close by. Anyways to much rambling and just thought I'd reach out and say hello!

North Grafton, MA (near Worcester). Just got my 1997 Cherokee a couple of weeks ago and thus far loving it. It really needs some TLC, but I'm taking it step by step.

Just south of boston isn't too bad. The governor had a driving ban from friday 4pm to Saturday 4pm. If caught you can serve up to 1 year in prison, terrible. Theres about 2 1/2 feet, but its all drifts so it varies from 6 inches to 5 feet. Sure is fun to drive through.

Just finished plowing this morning at 6. I have a mile and a half road through the woods with a very steep hill at the end that I plow.

slid in my dump truck and got stuck on the side of the hill for 3 hours friday night/ saterday morning. broke a come a long, a tow rope and two shovels trying to get it out with the neighbors little tractor.

most of the road has a high berm on either side so theres nowhere to push the snow. ended up doing the whole thing with my kabota tractor before i could clean it up with the plow and in the process busted the new PTO snowblower i have for it.

longest clean up ever lol

Default Not a problem

So on Sat mid-day I got the call my mother (83) who lives in Brewster down on Cape Cod had lost her electricity as did a lot of the Cape.... this meant no heat and she had to go to a shelter at the local school.... sleep on a cot... not... I contacted MEMA, told them the situation and they said I could drive.

Drove 94 miles down and it seemed my XJ was THE most capable vehicle on any highway or road....I was very psyched and impressed. In fact at about 3:30 right before the ban was lifted I was doing about 35-40 in the left lane of 128 south of Braintree and there was a long line of cars doing 15-20 in the right hand lane.... when I got up nearer the front I saw they were all following a State Police cruiser..... *hit! too late for me so I just kept the steady speed, slowly passing him... we looked at each other and to my surprise he nodded his head as if to give approval of me passing....and my XJ.... sweet.
