need some advice guys.... my dealership took in a nice 96 xj 4x4 auto np231 8.25 rear all stock, 155k, no a/c (doesn't work but it's all there). it has really good paint, almost like it was garage kept. has a pretty decent dent in the d/f fender on the a-pillar area, and it has another little dent in the rear quarter panel on the passenger side. interior is really clean other than the front seats are stained and the material is splitting and the headliner is falling down bad. it runs great, shifts great, etc. power windows and locks work. oh yeah... it has new tires on it as well.

what do you guys think it's worth? i'm having a hard time getting over the dealer fee that is tagged onto every car at my dealer. i need to replace the front floor pans in my 97 and i need something to drive my son around in until i get that project done, then i plan to sell it. before i start driving it though i would fix the a/c.

thanks guys, i have to pretty much make a decision first thing in the am before it goes to auction.

They seem to run high around here. In thinking if I fix the ac and put a headliner in I could get $3000

 

I just paid 1800 for mine at my dealership. mine had 230k on it, but everything was in good condition.

it looks good, and the AC shouldn't be to hard of a fix. just think of time and money you'll put into it and decide if the money you would make or even lose would be worth it in the end.

 

It needs an evaporator . there is another guy here that wants it... I'm going to let him have first shot at it

 

Who needs ac!? Mines been done since 08-09. Lol.

 

I got 470 air. 4 windows down at 70mph. Lol

 

cant run mine at the moment either. everything is working, but ive been too lazy to tighten the belt that i put on so when the compressor kicks the belt starts slipping.

 

That's is pretty lazy ....lol...

 

i know. i'm regreting it today with all the rain and no AC. for me though, as long as it's not raining my windows are down anyways. speaking of which i need to pick up motors and regulators for my fron windows. passenger side is missing all of it, driver side regulator is almost completely shot and the motor seems to be lacking a little power.
