You have a 4.9?
With the 232 bored over .030 it's only a 4.12, but it makes 241 HP. It's amazing how that little amount of displacement can increase the power and maintain the same stock compression.
I use the stock 4.0 rods and cam. The only things that changes is the crank and pistons. Pistons have to be dished out an extra 10cc to get the compression down to 8.8. Without dishing it makes 270 HP but the compression is 10:1 and premium is required.
Stroking the 258 was more expensive and costly than 232, but it's a lot more common. I might even have to have one remanufactured.

doesnt matter what engine... just get one with the same gears as your rear... if you want a ZJ tie rod buy one new... not from a JY... i grabbed mine cause they were already on the knuckle and brand new moogs... still busted them when taking them off though to do the otk flip... pissed... lol

Yea, I have a 95 ho 4.0. thought about getting it welded. Read that the apn or something like that is pretty good. And its like a hundred something. But imma wait so I can change the whole exhaust system along with it.
