Yeah that’s what I plan on doing...but I’ll do that at the end when everything is done with the trans swap...
I don’t want to get frustrated trying to get that out

Longer it sits exposed better chance of rust taking hold....

Well no luck installing the trans, for the past 3 hours I’ve been trying to get the transmission in the hole and it just doesn’t want to fall into place..
Bringing pops with me tomorrow to tackle it...hopefully with better luck

Pilot shaft same size I hope there are 2 ax15 sizes.

The early model (88-91) XJ & Dakota AX-15's have a smaller input shaft diameter (19/32") The late model (92-99) AX-15's have a 3/4" (.75) input diameter. Also the clutch discs spline counts are different with early and late model NV3550's.
