Yeah the ax15 that was in the Comanche has the later model input shaft...
Maybe I wasn’t lining it up right...I’ll recheck again today...my hands are sore!

Check the spline count of the input shafts too.

Early model NV3550 had 10-1 1/8" input splines, same as the AX-15.

Later model NV3550 had 19-1" input splines.

The one I have Is 10 spline...
I’ve read somewhere that the 2wd models had the 14 spline and 4wd models had 10 splines

Hmmm...I don't know what could be holding you back then. What bellhousing did you try to use, the same as Gary?

No, it and the 2.5 Dakota bellhousing with the external slave..

Just Got the transmission in 2 people is always better than 1...
Putting everything back together now, and tried tackling the broken bolt in the rear driveshaft yoke and no luck I’ve broke 3 mini screwdrivers trying to get the right angle
After all bolted up I’m going to try the reverse drill method and see if that works...if not I have to take it to a shop

Morris 4x4 in Pompano Beach has a lot of that stuff in stock. And you get a discount.

Yes. Comes with yoke, U-bolts, pinion nut and pinion seal. If you go in, tell them you're with Lee with the Comanche, that way they know you're from here.

Save the old yoke for me. I can put it in my drill press and drill out the yoke for straps. That way you have a spare for next time.
