Yes Reservist. Was going to go active but they had a Unit close to home looking for some good people. Got to meet a lot of good people and travel all over with them. And got to stay with my wife and kids. Getting ready to start a big project for HUD and Habitat 4 Humanity in Pompano. 77+ 1200sq ft homes. I will be supervising both my Unit and on the Civilian side as I do Construction/Inspections. Was a Civilian Contractor for the Army Corps before I officially left and became one of them. Lol

Good morning fellas
Today will be deciding factor what leaf springs I'll be going with, I do want the metric ton springs but if they aren't in stock it's a 4 month wait for them
If that's the case I'll be getting the 4" lift springs from rustys and call it a day

I will be redoing my whole suspension once the new engine is in.

Just ordered the general springs leaf spring set, I called and the guy said the springs are in stock so hopefully have them soon, my old leaf pack are so bad
That an axle in the back can sag it that the 35s touch the rear fender well

I see the diesel your going to put in,
Are any of the old engine parts salvageable ?

Plus the wife now has her 93 XJ so I can lift this one up to 6.5" and throw some 33's I've been stashing on there.

Well in about 11hours i will finally be home back in fl. Texan tire gave me a good quote for 4 ironman all country m/ts. In 31s. Less then 500 bucks mounted and balanced. Which i know ironmans are made by Hercules. and ive heard good things about hurcules tires. im thinking over time about doing some sort of Frankinenstine lift. I want to go up in height. Just not shure what parts to get i need to do more research. I know for shure i want to add new leafs in the back and get rid of the aal. The jeep came with.

For that custom cam you got, do I need to do anything to the internals?
And nice 6.5? Only 33s? I know you don't like chopping fenders but at that height I'd try 37s...

Im not a hundred percent shure. I only want to go another inch or so. Im not trying to go to crazy with it. I eventually want to go to 33s in the future. Its got a rc series 2 3in aal lift on it that came with it. I could add a puck in the front to proo it up a inch. But at that point, it would just be better yo add longer springs that will raise it a inch. Im a cheap bastard i will admit, but i still like to do things the properway. And i would like to get rid of the aal, and go to a new pack in the rear. Im thinking of getting a new 3in packs in the rear, and possibly add a 1in shackle in the rear, so thr angles better, instead of bring stright up and down. Just i dont want every thing to be all rough country swap ins.
