I sir. They just help in starting in cold weather. Or cold starts. If it is cold a little ether will help but you won't need glow plugs in south Florida. I drove a 7.3 for years up north and none of the glow plugs work. Diesel engines combust off compression. Not a spark device. Hope this helps
