Well window handle snapped of too drivers vent window on jeep. Then turn signal canceling /horn contact ring broke jammed into turn signal switch making horn blow yesterday leaving for work two nights ago. 8 bucks for new canceling ring for a 86 Monte Carlo and spare handlers. All fixed ready for Morris Grand Opening.

New(used) steering column installed, horn, wipers, squirters, and turn signals working. Still need tie rod ends, and the rest of the steering stuff, ball joints are sketchy as hell, and it needs an alignment, but it has new tahrs, and drives a fairly straight line with minimal death wobble, so yeah, I'll see you at Morris 4x4 on the 18th.

Been a while since I've been on the blog.
(I have no idea where my (go Advanced) post went because I can't find it.)
I'm here in South Florida. Hot weather Hot temps.
So I need some feed back regarding operating temps in this climate
I've owned my 1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4.0 about three years ( 137K now !75K miles) Newer Raditator /Shroud/ fan clutch
I maintain my vehicle Regular High Mileage Oil changes and filter, Recent trans fluid and strainer. Seafoam a or Marvel Mystry oil about once a month.
Just changed my spark plugs.
Last year messed around with with changing thermosts from 185 to 160
Put wrong red antifreeze in and flushed it out shortly thereafter.
Replaced it with the green Glycol correct kind. also put in the Wet stuff for race cars.
But it seems to always run toward that 195-to 210 range.
More recently my vehicle overheated twice in the last two weeks
(Both fans work/ no water in oil) (I did change the clutch fan about two year ago with another stock one)
So I purchased a High Flow Thermostat Housing, a new temp sending unit and a new 160 thermostat
I thoroughly flushed out the old dirty burnt antifreeze.
put the Prestone Raditior Flush ran that for about an hour? then Flushed it out as well out through the upper hose open heater open radiator petcock
until everything flowed clear water.
Installed new high flow housing and new 160 thermostat, and new sending unit, Peak 50/50 Green Glycol antifreeze
On the highway with the AC on I'm running about 195.
With out AC on the highway only a few degree below closer to the 185 mark.
Once I exit off and enter stop and go traffic it edges up to the 210. it will even pass that a little if I'm stuck in traffic or long light at a rail road crossing.
Then just hover below that 210 center temp gauge mark.
I need some serious feedback, to be able to make some comparisons as well.
Thanks

210 is normal for jeeps with or without a/c...and once it hits 220 the 2nd fan starts to cool it down to 210....jeep 2.5s and 4.0s run great hot....but what comparisons are you really looking for?

In short, the Forum Runner App is prone to having problems and crashing. A lot of us cannot post or access threads. IB (Owners of CF) have been developing and having us test a new Beta App that will be specific to their forums. I will post the link for all of you try and test this app as the first official version will be complete by the end of the month/beginning of next month.
