Roughly by my calculations, enough to get 3.0L with the same output if not more than a 4.0L. I've been cross referencing a lot of parts, part numbers and dimensions of various components. We have AMC motors, not ChryCo so there is a lot of options compared to catalog bolt ons. I first used AMC/IH straight 6 with great results, now I'm gonna experiment with a AMC 4cyl.

With a OEM exhaust, CAI and 784s (Neon injectors), 3.55 gears and a 5sp, I managed to get about 22 mpg with my rig. Went up to Sebring from Miami on a half a tank.

Do the injectors swap.

Yeah I'm in no rush...
I've decided that the cherokee is going to be built eventually just stashing some cash if I ever come across the 29spline 4.10 8.25 or a 4.10 dana 30...then start building a 4.5" lift for it

Dude, the next time you've got some free time, go back and look at that 8.25 with 4.10s at LKQ. It's just a four ujoint bolts away from being yours (if it is indeed a 29 spline).

If only I had the cash...
Right now I've been saving for a trip for my boys bachelor party up in Vegas in a few months so I'm saving every penny I got....lol

Edit: Although I'm saving for it but I'll get it when I got it just not now
