Morning gentlemen. I now can replace every component in a drum brake system and let me tell you, I don't EVER want to again.

I did manage to refurbish the entire system, excluding the drums themselves, for the same price as a quality set of pads though. And the XJ stops like a champ now. Silver lining.

Lol I hated doing drums until I got the right tools to do the job....makes it a lot easier....

Well blew tire driving down 17 yesterday tires are little over a year old and are in great shape still I was pissed!!!

One more suggestion grind the lip off where shoes don't contact drums unless you like having to un-adjust the shoes every time you pull the drums off....

Next time you have a blow out in the rear make sure you swap one if the front tires out back..you can easily wear your gears because of the mismatched size of tires...

Just new ones. New hardware and cylinders too.

One of my Maxxis Buckshot mudders developed a huge sidewall crack after a couple years for no reason. The set beforw wore out around 15k. I'll be switching over to BFG or Wranglers soon
