Property bought
Ok. I posted here since it is in the Southeast,(GA).
I will be closing next Friday on 90 acres in Lyerly, GA. 15 mins. from Rome. 45 miles to Chattanooga, TN. A 2&1/2 hr. drive from my house in PTC.
Some details:
90 acres
1 acre lake
3 cabins - 2 small, 1 large
40x20 shop
property is fenced & cross-fenced
some ATV trails & some overgrown trails
Deer & wild turkey
some deer stands, (still have to look at them)
Best is the proprerty tax exemption, $875.00 a year.
I will be doing some clean up work at first, but plan to develop the trails, some obstacles, build a small shooting range and of course some hunting.
I will be posting later the address and when the "real" work weekends will be. Any help will be accepted. Once it is in decent condition there will be trail riding, shooting & hunting for family & friends.

Pics
Here are a few pics.
The views are wonderful. The large cabin eventually will be replaced with something more accessible for me and the lake needs some more water or we may make it into a mud bog for those who like mud.

Here's a good view of the property lines.
Doing some general clean up, family only, then the real work starts. Hopefully it will start to cool down and maybe get a little more done before winter.
When we closed last Sat. we drove around Summerville and looked around a little and the "megatropolis" of Lyerly.......wait I missed it......I blinked.

Downtown Summerville is about 45 mins from Chattanooga and about 15-20 mins from Rome around 1 1/2 hours from Atlanta and about 45 mins from Gadsden, Al. And Lyerly is about 5 mins from Summerville. Just to give everyone a quick perspective.
