Hey guys, i'm in Nashville for a few months because of work & just got a stock 98 XJ 4.0 4x4 to run around in while i'm here. Everything was cool until a few days ago. It cranks normally but won't start. I'm not mechanically inclined but read that it might be the crank sensor since it's still getting fuel & the coil seems to be good. All the fuses were checked too. I figure this forum would be good to find someone to work on it instead of some random mechanic. I'm in the west Nashville area.

 

You might try PMing some of the folks in this forum, I'm sure there's someone who can help. The CPS (and it does sound like it could be your CPS causing this) can be replaced in just a few minutes without a lift if you know what you're doing and have the right tools but it's a royal PITA if you've never done one before.
