Define "too far".
Amicalola Falls has some FS roads, up around Helen and there are waterfalls that can be reached easily, some require a short walk.
Southern Jeeps has had a Waterfall drive almost every year. Check their site for info.
I'll post if I hear anything.

well i think if its close enough to be a day trip then thats good.
so you live in ptc? you don't know any small local trails that i would be alowed to ride on just around there, because that would be nice. I have gone on a couple power lines around ptc, tyrone, and newnan but most of them are boring and probly trespassing.

Most of the "close" places,(2-3 hrs.), can be a "day" ride. Leave at 5:00-6:00 am and get home maybe by 9:00 pm.
Nothing legal around here unless you have written permission from the owner and it is NOT under power lines.

I'm in Atlanta, just got my Jeep this week. Still needs some basic stuff taken care of before she's trail ready, or even really road ready. The guy I bought her from didn't seem to be capable of taking care of even the most basic stuff. The brakes need work, the exhaust needs work, all the bushings are shot, one of the bump stops is broken and just "hanging" out in the bottom of the coil, the door latches have never been greased (the rear hatch barely even opens), it needs a new steering stabilizer and new shocks, also needs cooling system stuff like new thermostat, water pump and hoses. Then I can get to the "trail ready" stuff, like REAL bumpers not the crappy custom ones this guy installed which would fold under even the slightest love tap from a rock, skid plates, stronger diff covers, and rocker panel protection. Also really needs to have some kind of washer fluid reservoir (which he removed to install a K&N filter). Can't wheel very well when you can't see out the windshield covered in mud. But she'll be ready soon, just needs a little TLC. She's got no rust or corrosion and the famous bulletproof Cherokee drivetrain is working great

well their aint that many trails left up here everything has been closed down.but their is on trail close to the house i use to go on but havent gone with my jeep cause i need a new rearend
I here ya, I need new rear springs and a SYE before I do any wheeling, hoping to get those installed soon. Could also do with some new shocks and quick discos. I'd really like to find a Dana 60 front and rear but that's a long term project. I'm not gonna put in any new gears or lockers though until I upgrade the axles, no point in buying gears and lockers twice.

http://www.fs.fed.us/conf/rec/ohv/beasley.shtml
There s some smaller trails in GA
http://www.fs.fed.us/conf/rec/ohv/index.htm
Then theres Lucas Trails in Cartersville, Power line roads galore.
its on the border of legal and illegal depends on who you talk to.
Rich Mountain used to be the spot in Ellijay but it got closed down for offroaders.
Power line road are ride at your own risk.
hope that helps.
