It needs little things. Though runs like new, Ima make a build thread aboutit and all the work I already did to it later. Main issue is it sticks in 4x4 sometimes...

I've got a 98 part out if you need anything. Sticks in 4wd like what?

Doing 5-10 ish pull into full time.
light pops on, engages.
goes light bogging, ditch crawling, or whatever nothing major.
doing 5-10ish push into 2wd
light goes off, doesnt disengage.
It'll stick into part-time 4x4. after a while of pushing it foward, backing up, crawling under and manually pushing it into 2wd itll go into 2wd. Though sometimes it gives me zero trouble. I bought transfer case fluid and gear oil, gunna see if a change helps it any.

Light gray interior and red body.

4wd problem sounds like the linkage isn't pulling it back to set it in 2wd sometimes. It's kinda adjustable

I read somewhere that you can loosen a nut/bolt and adjust it a lil but its best to buy a after market linkage.

I converted my Jeep to 4x4 from 2wd and went with linkage from a vendor on here, FST. Awesome.

Moving 2-3 mph and out jeep in neutral then shift into 4wd. That's what I do, sometimes sitting still the case doesn't want to engage.

I had read in a few places when engaging 4x4 part/full time that being in drive while moving 5-10 ish is fine. but 4-low slow to a dead crawl, shift into neutral then engage 4-low. I think ima adjust it to get by then get a aftermarket, of course more money.

Yes that's fine, you have the 242 case so that works.

Just buy the linkage Kris Froehlich sells.

If you have that problem try holding it in 2wd and just drive around a bit. It will eventually catch and stay
