i am heading out to silver lake on wed. for a family vacation and some dune riding, i have never been there so i need to know a couple things
does the flag have to be on the front of the truck?
are the dunes two way or is there only one direction?
any one want to head out there?
any info you have about the area let me know
looking for things to do with the family

the main hills are one way direction, everything else is either. they are clearly marked were its only one way directional. i think the flag can be mounted anywere as long as it hits the pole when entering the park (i believe 10'). i might be interested in heading out there, gotta see if i can get some friends to go or not. dont forget or air down before entering the park, i seen some people holding up the line because they got stuck as soon as they hit the sand.

Flag has to be in the front on anything other then bikes or quads. That's what I was told by the ranger when I was out there last weekend.
And do not be afraid to run very low, I was down to 9 psi when I was out there and had no problems.

I start at 10 and go down from there, you can refill at Duneland store right outside the gate. If your staying close and going back the next day just leave it aired down. If you get bored of the dunes there's some pretty good trails in the area too, check out crystal valley. During the week you will have the dunes all to your self.
