Yea the joint and the shaft just have surface rust on them like they didn't have a coating on then. I talked to the original owner who built it and he said they were. I just want to know so I can sell them as chromoly. I didn't buy it off the original owner so I don't think he would make it up. Ill pull them and check it out more.

I also walked out mad because I was working on getting a front skid plate off (covers steering box and swaybar). But the last bolt spun free, and we didn't have a sawzall on us that trip :/
Yeah I hear ya,
I usually give each vehicle I'm workin on a couple big pushes before I get under em. The juice has got to be worth the squeeze, and in my case it definitely was-- got rid of my dummy light cluster and got me a nice low milage front driveshaft to replace my seized one for under $60 total. Also, 4-6 zj's in there and a couple 88 XJ's as well.
