Ordered a track bar bracket for the axle today and spacers for the transfer case. Trying to find someone that has the tool for the 8.25 Chrysler to install my differential! Any help?

 

What did you go with? Your at 3in right? That's what I'm working on now trackbar research. Looks like I'll just redrill an new hole in the stock location and see if that works

 

I have the RE heavy duty trackbar and their bracket as well. Granted I'm at 5" of lift but it's been a great setup.

 

So Tuesday the Jeep is getting longer travel Fox 2.0 shocks, the Currie HD steering system, 2 new tires for the front so I can't wait. Hopefully end of March or maybe earlier I will be able to get my bumper and winch but we'll see.

 

Vonguido, did you also have to run a drop pitman arm with that? I'm getting ready to install the Iron Rock Offroad track bar with drop braket, it drops 3/4".Just wondering if I'll also need a drop pitman arm.

 

Yeah I'm at 3 inch right now. I got mine from fat bobs garage out of Utah. It bolts to the original mount and drops and moves the mount similar to drilling it out. I paid $35 for mine but that's cause I have dealt with the company before. Skyjacker makes one for about $25 depending on where you go. I would shy away from drilling it out as it weakens the mount. I've seen one break before and it ruined the mount.

 

This is what the bracket look likes. It's upside down from the way it goes on the axle. Hoping it'll help like it should. Having the driver side get dirtier than the passenger sucks.

 

That was my original plan (down to the same manufacturer) so I guess I'll still do that over redrilling the mount... So besides one side getting dirtier then the other. Did you notice any miss alignment or change in the way it drove after the lift, because of the miss aligned track bar?

 

Oh, axle side bracket, nevermind I was needing help with other side.

 

Other than being toe-in from the inverted y linkage set up, it drives straight still. Once I get the track bar done, I'm gonna get it aligned hopefully soon after. Also It's softer because I don't have my sway bars on it either, just gotta watch it taking a corner quick.

In my opinion, make sure you get the correct length lower control arms, whether solid or adjustable. They help the caster angle stay in check and in my opinion help prevent death wobble. My friend has gone over everything on his xj suffering from death wobble, and the only thing he hasn't done is lower control arms. My lift kit I got I made absolute sure regardless of what I got that it had lowers with it.

 

Hmmm ok I won't be getting lower control arm right away but I shall move them up on the list.

 

Got my Fox 2.0 shocks and Currie HD steering system installed today and the ride is amazing. After having loose steering and rusted out white tub shocks it's so nice having responsive steering and not giving myself a migraine from the bumps.

 

Those shocks look nice! Awaiting the arrival of my parts today!

 

The shocks are awesome. I'm really happy I went that route.

 

Anyone wanna help w/ replacing my cooling system? radiator has a leak in it and want to replace the thermostat, thermostat housing, water pump and maybe add a B&M supercooler trans cooler. Holycaveman?
