I apparently need an alignment, or to rebalance my tires. Below about 62mph, everything's peachy, above, and the front end starts to shake a little. Maybe it's also my balljoints?

That's where my wheel bearings let me know they were getting worse.

Best way to check is (XJ on stands, axle hanging) pull off the tires, pull off off rotors. Grab hub with both hands top and bottom. Try to pivot up and down, and try to pull straight up and down. Should be zero movement. If hub pulls out or in more than 1/16" also dictates failure.
Upper ball joints "rock" back and forth with tires on ground.
Lower ball joints tend to "pop" out when you lift the jeep/axle hanging

90% of the time at 50-70+ miles an hour your front end will have a "wuh-wuh-wuh" type noise.
That's the best I can describe it

Most of the squeak I got when turning was from the failing axle u joints, but I mainly got that in 4x4 hi/low

Mine isn't really a sound, its just a vibration/shake. I guess it will be easy to check when I replace the ball joints this week...
Edit: and no squeaking around turns either

The best way it to keep your wheels on! Put it on jackstands and then try and wiggle the tire top in bottom out and vice versa, same with side to side. Look for any play and adress the issue, same way to check ball joints and tre if there is any play in the wheels and everything looks good its the bearing

Okay random quick question that I feel like thats something that could be a problem...do anyones front end ever make a popping/thumping/slamming kinda sound when giving her some gas going a steep grade -offroading, Ive only ever had it do it once on the pavement.
