Yeah I was bummer, but proud of my self for not taking a bad deal. LOL My heart wanted it but my head said no!

Beside I would have to replace so much to get it trail ready. Cause only god knows what would break on it after sitting for 4 years.

haha yeah I had a few of those deals where I was set on buying it before going to see it, and then found a lot of issues when seeing it the owner didn't mention before, luckily I haven't made any mistakes of buying junk before though. I just hope this new XJ will be an easy fix, and I'm sure its plenty worth what I paid for it!

Yeah I got shafted on a 89 mustang. And all because I wanted it! Nothing was gonna change my mind, well turned out it was rusted out from a rear end accident. One large hole from pass side to drivers side. :| Never again will I let that happen.

And yeah its worth it for you even if you buy a new motor.

Damn that sucks...
Yeah thats what I figured as long as its not butchered up underneath which I am sure its not, the guy is very active on his and has some good pics of his build so I think its going to be done pretty well.
Yeah this 94 of my buddies I am working on the entire floor is out, We finished the trunk already up to the back seat, but from the rocker to the tunnel from the firewall back is all cut out... Also will be redoing the rockers with custom 1/8" tubing I got for free
Its just weird trying to make new supports for it as I have nothing to base the floor off of, and I like overkill in strength, although if someone ever looks under it, it may look a little funny haha

As long as it holds and is strong who cares. If you ever need scrap metal go to the scrap yard, I guess you can buy scrap from them for like 30 cents a lb.

Ill ask next time Im there, because thats what I plan on doing.

On that mustang, I drove it hard till I blew the tranny then sold it for 100 less then I got it so it wasnt to bad of a deal!

I think Im gonna just get rid of the mustang and bike so I can get a nice 97+ XJ and lift it with a new lift and some other goodies. That way I know whats up with it.

Well that's not to bad of a deal on the stang then.
And we got a steel place that we get drop stock from for real cheap and its usually exactly what pieces we need.
Yeah I personally love the 97+ style, the other ones are just a bit dated inside and really aren't any cheaper.. other then a like a loaded 88-90 limited would be nice with a stock D44

Yeah there are always good deals coming and going on craigslist, you just need to be quick enough to beat everyone else who wants that same deal!

Here is one interesting looking one:
http://zanesville.craigslist.org/cto/1991415107.html
as well as this one:
http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/cto/1989221858.html
You'd have to see if they were done the right way and not beat on too bad though..

The one in Detroit is sexy! I never even bothered to look in any cities other then Cleveland. lol I guess that's the next step. I may lower bike price a bit, 2000$ then I gunk I'll be able to get 3000 for the stang. I'd use 4k for a jeep + upgrades, I think that would do me nice for right now. Then of coarse more upgrades later.

I look on Craiglook.com
it lets you search within a certain distance of a city, so I just do within 60 or 100 miles of Cleveland.
Yeah both of those look nice at good prices, the V8 interests me, but I would be afraid of issues from the PO doing things his own way..
You should be able to find a 97+ that only needs minor work for $1500ish just need to be patient.. That way you got plenty of money for mods and making it trail ready!

Yeah it seems the best ones come when your not looking for them, and that's exactly how my new one is. I had no intentions of getting another XJ for a while, but found this one, looked nice, right by my dads new house, and at a awesome price, so I PMed the guy and it worked out, like it was meant to be

Thats what I am hoping, but only one more day to wait! And its my day off so at least if time goes slow waiting Its while just hanging out with some friends, and I guess playing some laser tag tonight haha.
At my sisters work a bunch of younger people 18-24ish age rented out the place for a few hours so me and a buddy are going to join them, I haven't played that in years, but I remember it being pretty fun!
