miethead you have good point but once again this is a jeep sight. i have wheeled with others with full size trucks yota's explorers. i have seen to many issues with them. ford boys dont get along with chevy boys and then the ego's start with mines better than yours. it dont ever end up good. and been on alot of trails they cant fit down because there just too tall and long wheel base. just i dont what to be on a run and the mines better than yours or i got more power. but it all boils down to we own jeeps were not on a ford forum or a chevy forum. this should be ironed out before we all meet up.

I agree there are trails longer wheelbases don't fit down. And I fall on to the chevy vs ford, well really camaro vs midrange. Lol. It happens no matter and as long as the right attitude and mindset (stick up arrogant or close minded a holes) then it should be ok. You all have cheerokees and I have a wrangler that arguement/competition has been going on since the xj was introduced. Is hate to tell some one sorry your a great person very helpful and want to help our sport but you drive the wrong 4x4. I am all about friendly rivalry.

i dont have a problem with fords or chevy. i have nothing against any make of jeep i love them all. my next jeep is a jk and i know ill have fun in it. but how would you feel doing a club trail run and you have to tell a member you cant go because your rig wont fit down the trail. or its a jeep only event like blessing of the jeeps.
thats why you see alot of clubs that are make spacific so others dont get left out.

wild got a question for ya when did you join the allegan ace's?

I agree and mentioned it in an earlier post that it would suck to tell them or anyone this event isn't for you. I just wanted to bring up the other side of discussion. I thinly its a hard choice. Some trails limit what can go, some events do too, mud bogs are some peoples thing and not others. I don't know what is the best choice either way limits it in some way.

Btw I haven't had my jk long but i love it. 5.5 rock krawler 3 link front and rear, rock krawler shocks, rock krawler hd steering sitting on 35 inch mtr rubber. Flexs like mad and smooth as glass on the freeway.

i see the argument between wheather other rigs should be allowed and understand the "jeep only" idea, but for discussion ill throw this out there, my jeep along with gary's (jesus jeep) are both lifted about the same i think, we run 38"+ tires and i myself am 82" wide, close to the same width as many fullsize 1 ton rigs, iv ran trails at twisted where u dont have a choice but to rub a tree and go between the tree's at an angle to navigate 1 tire through at a time, i think the jeep only idea is cool, but see the argument and if a full size rig wants to join and run the chance of body damage ect ect then thats fine with me, since i know i will receive body damage due to being as wide as i am at the front axle. but i think it should be limited to closely size related rigs "blazer,explorer,4runner ect" no tractor tired boggers ect. just my thoughts on it wheeling is wheeling no matter what it is.

I agree drew. As long as everyone knows we do trails let it be their choice if they want to run the risk of damage. Smaller lifts and tires may not wanna do rocks. I say let the people chose. Lol
