Well I bought a vehicle but it ended up not being a Jeep....I bought an Exploder. It was too good of a deal to pass up at $1800. 1997 with 119k miles 3" body lift with 33 inch Duratracs, V8. It is AWD, but I was reading that I can swap in a t-case from a F150 that bolts right in for selectable 4x4/low range. This will be a people carrier/towing/hauling/weekend wheeler type thing. I just need a fullsize spare and I'm ready to go! I know, I know how dare I commit such blasphemy, but like I said it was too good of a deal to pass up.

 

Well, the way I see it is you got what a lot of us yearn for right from the get go...

Sure, you got the wrong body, but you also got the 31spl disk brake 8.8, 5.0, full frame.... swap in a solid front axle and your good to go IMO.

Does anyone around the Lexington area have a front drive shaft for an XJ for sale, or know of one sale? Im looking to put in the Rugged Ridge SYE this weekend. I am putting it in a 97 XJ with a 231 TC

Went out there this morning... They closed the u-pull section now you cant get back in there at all. If you want anything, you have to have them pull it, at an up-charge of course. Apparently there is another called "bourbon auto salvage" about 10 miles out bryan station rd. from lexington, i'm gonna head that way next week sometime to scout it out

 

I would be up for a mini meet this weekend. Possibly a wrenching party tomorrow? I don't really need to work on anything, but don't have anything to do.

Hey ky jeepers im heading down to the knobbcreek machine gun shoot tomorrow night and im coming from by Chicago actually nw Indiana I would like to see what kind of trails you guys got out that way?
