I got a 96 xj cherokee, stock, and my transmission went out a few months ago. I miss my jeep so much (I had to buy a toyota camry) and I want her fixed. Come springtime I wanted to put in a used transmission. I just wanted to know if anyone was interested in helping. I got one or two people ready to come down on the first sunny weekend of spring. Lunch and possibly dinner (depending on finishing time) will be provided. I'll pay for your gas as long as you're not too far away. The jeep is located in Ashland, KY but I live in WV. I have all the tools necessary to complete the task, but I'm kind of a rookie at this sort of thing. This probably wouldn't happen until at least March, but I wanted to get prepared before.
