Default April 24-25th Badlands Run

Anyone down for a run through that weekend. Winterfest was such a blast we are trying to plan another one that weekend on NAXJA! It would give a lot of you CFers a chance to test your rig before we all get together in June. This is a unofficial event so it will kinda just be hey you lets go! I can still promise a good time though.

Post up if you are in and have any questions. Just getting back from Winterfest a few days ago everything is still fresh in my head!

I hope I can make this one because I can't be there in June. Gotta have my lift on to go, though. Old tires are way too dry rotted to trust on the trail and new 31s won't work well at stock height...we'll see how it goes.

At WF we had 3 stock XJ's only one got stuck and that is becuase he didn't air down. Once you get your lift give me a call or what ever and I will help you put it on!

You guys that are just SCARED of breaking trust your Jeep they are awesome pieces of machine.

I drove a 22 yr old vehicle two days in Badlands and didn't even get a scratch and my rig is not nearly as built as some of youin's.

Another thing for Badlands I would reccomend Rock Rails over Lift initially! Also the steering skid to protect your alternator from some of the mud!

Eric when you want to go to pull-a-part again I am starting to get the ITCH!

That's an awfully kind offer...I'll give you a call, maybe in the next few weeks. I'm not afraid to run er stock if it wasn't for the tires and something bangin in the front suspension like maybe a shot bushing in the sway bar or control arm. My poor XJ is crying out for a lift!

I'm ready for the pull-a-part again, too. I noticed the other day that they have 5 new XJs since the last time we went. What about this weekend?

So who all is in for sure.

I've already taken off work, as has my brother...and don't we want to be the only people there lol. this is my late b-day celebration lol, so let's make it a fun time.

hopefully 89eliminator and JakeWI are gonna be able to make it. and if JakeWI's bro stops being a p***y and buys his lift and tires he'd be around too.

I'll have my friend Aaron's smittybuilt winch on the truck for the trip, but don't really want a reason to test it out...my electrical hasn't been sufficiently upgraded yet to handle strenuous winch activity, though I just installed my idle-up switch

Just need to know who is going so we can set up times. I guess if

I wanna come, but I seriously doubt my rig is going to be ready. I now have a large wooden swing set to put together first, LOL. Priorities If anyone has room and is willing to let me and my 6 yr old son ride along, I may consider coming without the XJ. Will bring food

Aw, come on, strap an old couch back there and we're good! JK, probably been 20 years since I rode in the bed of a truck and I don't plan to do it again!
